Two CRPF troopers were injured in a pressure bomb blast triggered by CPI-Maoist rebels in the dense forest of Chhattisgarh’s worst insurgency-hit Sukma district on Monday morning.
“An improvised explosive device was triggered by the Maoists around 9:20am when a patrolling team of CRPF’s 74thbattalion was patrolling in the rural area under Chintalnar police station area,” said a senior police official said.
The two CRPF troopers came under the vulnerable radius of the IEDs while one of the troopers stepped over a pressure IED connection triggering the blast that left two of them injured.
The CRPF troopers of 74th battalion were cordoning a patch near Wallemagu rivulets between Chintalnar and Narsapuram villages.
The injured have been indentified head constable Parvinder and constable P Sagar.
