Hyderabad, November 11, 2014: HYDERABAD’S FLAGSHIP THEATRE EXTRAVAGANZA – Qadir Ali Baig Theater Foundation brings Globally-anticipated 9th edition of “Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival”.
Today the festival bought Ms. Vani Ganapathy’s (Bangalore) ‘Dwaaram’ – a dance-theatre performance choreographed and performed by Vani Ganapathy and Sathyanarayana Raju.
Dwaaram, Ganapathy’s one-and-a-half hour-long dance feature, was a colourful ode to ‘doors’, based on the transitions and thoughts of man from the world of maya to the spiritual world through the perspective of five doors -Rajadwaaram, palace door; veeradwaaram, fortress door; gruhadwaaram, a common house door; daivadwaaram, divinedoor and atmadwaaram, door of the soul.
The festival was inaugurated on Friday the 7th November by Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan Honorable Governor of Telangana at Shilpakala Vedika.
The Inaugural Address was given by Mohammad Ali Baig, Director, Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival.
Dr. Mohan Agashe, The Renowned Actor addressed the gathering and shared information about the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival.
Ms.VaniGanapathy, the Renowned Dancer & Actress said in her keynote address how significant is the festival for the cultural development of the city of Hyderabad.
