A district level National Congress party member has requested the party president Sonia Gandhi to oust her son, Rahul Gandhi, from the position of Congress vice-president to save the party face in coming elections.
According to the 1 minute and 26 seconds long video going viral in the social media, the speaker identifies himself as Shailesh Choubey and has addressed the video to Sonia Gandhi.
In the video he has said, “Rahul’s recent comments has put Congress in a bad light.”
The video clip is being circulated on social messaging app Whatsapp.
In the video the district secretary can be seen criticizing Gandhi for his comment ‘Khoon ke Dalali’ statement during his Kisan Yatra on Oct 6.
The congress vice-president had faced backlash in social media after he had said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a few other politicians are taking advantage of Indian martyred soldiers in terror strikes.
In the video the district level congress leader went ahead to suggest Sonia Gandhi to assign Rahul to look business or else her son would be defame the party in every platform.
Some senior members in the national front have claimed that the video to be a doctored video to defame and demoralise party workers in all levels
