A day after rebel AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it appears that he is inclined to not revealing his cards at this point of time and would rather keep everyone guessing about a potential alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In a tweet posted by the office of O Panneerselvam, it has been stated that the decision about a potential alliance with the BJP will only be taken after the local body elections are announced. Political pundits said that there’s a lot of uncertainty at this point of time and nobody can predict for certain how the future of Tamil Nadu politics will evolve in the next few years.
After meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, O Panneerselvam himself said that there were no discussions on the political situation in Tamil Nadu. However, sources have revealed that Tamil Nadu’s political scenario was very much discussed in the meeting, with O Panneerselvam pointing out to the actions of certain ministers in the ruling faction of AIADMK. Panneerselvam also said that there is no possibility of talks between his group and the ruling faction of AIADMK. He also demanded the expulsion of party General Secretary VK Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran.
