After arresting middleman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Delhi Police crime branch officials will be leaving for Chennai tomorrow to meet TTV Dinakaran. The police will ask Dinakaran to join the probe. According to information provided by Delhi Police crime branch, Sukesh Chandrashekhar has admitted that the deal for the two-leaf AIADMK symbol was worth Rs 50 crore. Sukesh has had received Rs 10 crore over the last two months, as part of the deal. When Delhi police arrested him in Delhi, they recovered Rs 1.30 crore from his hotel room.
An FIR has been filed by Delhi police, which includes the names of Sukesh and AIADMK’s general secretary TTV Dinakaran. The police claimed that it has recordings of phone conversations between Dinakaran and Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The money trail has also been identified, as per police claims. The money was transferred from Chennai to Kochi and from there it was transferred to Delhi using hawala channels. In Delhi, the money was handed over to Sukesh. In addition to the cash, the police have also seized a white Mercedes S350 and a black BMW 730LD.
