Business is currently happening at the speed of light in India, especially in fast-paced sectors such as the telecom sector. In less than a year of Reliance Jio launching its VoLTE services, the company has already got a competitor in Airtel that has also launched its VoLTE services. Bharti Airtel has launched its first VoLTE services in Mumbai. It has plans to introduce the VoLTE services in other circles in the coming months. Airtel’s VoLTE services will be available to anyone who has a 4G enabled phone and Airtel 4G SIM card. With today’s launch, Airtel has become the second company to introduce 4G voice services in India. Airtel is the largest telecom company in India, but in the VoLTE domain, Reliance Jio had beaten it quite convincingly. It clearly shows that in today’s fast paced business world, a company can never afford to be complacent, even when it may be the biggest company.
Speaking about the launch of VoLTE services, Bharti Airtel director-networks Abhay Savargaonkar said, “Over the next few months, we will rapidly accelerate the deployment of VoLTE to cover all key geographies to bring HD quality calling to our customers. We keenly look forward to our device partners enabling Airtel VoLTE on their smartphones.”
