Located near the foot of the Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttrakhand, Rishikesh is the7th largest city in India. The place is absolutely clean, serene, and green. People often come here for rafting, cliff diving, bungee jumping, and camping. I went there with my 4 other friends.
We stayed there for a couple of days, at the camp. The camp served lip smacking home-cooked meals. We stayed in tents, and felt as if we were staying in the lap of nature. Mornings were for gaming by the river side, and spending fun time at the shore.
Then cane the time for rafting, in the noon. We boarded the raft and started our short journey. It was indeed an adventurous ride with many ‘hurdles’ in form of waves. During the course of rafting, we also enjoyed maggi at a halt and tried cliff diving. We ended rafting at the famous Lakshman Jhoola, and headed back to our camp.
It was a wonderful journey visiting this place, and everyone should at least try this once in their lifetime.
