Anand Pawar wins Dutch International

Indian shuttler Anand Pawar has won the Dutch International. He came back after recuperating from the injury which saw him out of action for the past 5 months. He  suffered a slip disc injury in November last year.

In the finals, he rallied from a game down to beat Finnish second seed Kalle Koljonen 20-22 21-19 21-17 in just 68 minutes. 

The Air India employee had not dropped a single game till the final. Interestingly his longest match till the finals was his first round encounter against Jacob Nilsson, which had lasted 39 minutes.

Pawar will now head to Thailand by May to play an international challenge followed by the Thailand Grand Prix.
