Even as the entire country is still to recover from the shock of facing the news that a class XI student had allegedly murdered 7-year old Pradyuman Thakur and that too just for postponing exams and a parent-teacher meeting, sources have revealed that the CBI is currently investigating the involvement of another student in the horrifying incident. It may be recalled that Pradyuman was murdered on September 8 inside the toilet of Ryan International School in Gurugram. The Gurugram police had arrested the bus conductor and blamed him for killing Pradyuman. However, with the CBI investigations, an altogether different story has emerged, one that has shocked the nation and puts a question mark on the safety of children at school. Sources said that involvement of another student in the crime could be a bigger jolt to the people.
When the accused student was presented before a juvenile court, the CBI told the court that the accused has accepted his involvement in the murder. The accused had accepted his crime in the presence of his father and other witnesses. Meanwhile, Gurugram police was not willing to accept that it had botched up the case by saying that the case was handed to CBI in its early stage, due to which, the investigating team did not get enough time to probe all the various angles. Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said that they were working honestly to solve the case and were not under any type of pressure from anyone.
