NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal the new Delhi Chief Minister joined with social activist Anna Hazare, on Tuesday who has launched a two-day agitation against the Land Acquisition Bill tabled in parliament by the NDA government. After addressing a crowd of protestors led by Anna Hazare.
Kejriwal spoke about land acquisition law that land away from anyone in the national capital under the amended he will not allow the central government to forcibly.
Kejriwal said: “We will use all our force to ensure that land is not taken away forcibly from anyone in Delhi.”
Kejriwal said, while addressing fellow protesters at the Jantar Mantar, that the “The Land Acquisition is against farmers and poor. If this Land Acquisition ordinance is passed, this Government will be like a property dealer.”
Also, he added that no land acquisition will take place in Delhi, He made praise for Hazare, who was his initiator during the India Against Corruption movement. The government Tuesday introduced the land acquisition amendment bill in the Lok Sabha amid uproar by the opposition.
On, Monday an agitation against the measure at Jantar Mantar was launched by Hazare, who led an anti-corruption movement against the previous UPA government, here, terming it as “undemocratic” and demanding its withdrawal.
