An armed man was detained on Tuesday night at the Orlando International Airport. He was possessing a gun and was taken into custody after a lengthy standoff in a rental car area, police said. The incident happened at the rental car area of Level 1, Side A as per the tweet from the airport.
“Everyone is safe,” Orlando police tweeted referring to the incident which thwarted another possible attack which has been reeling America with violence making public demand the gun license to be cancelled and should not be made available to every one at ease.
The airport said there was a minimal impact because of the incident. Earlier, a crisis negotiator spoke with the suspect before he was taken into custody. No shots were fired, said police spokeswoman Sgt Wanda Miglio. Cops got into action immediately as soon as they got the information that a man was seen roaming around near the terminal with a gun.
