Former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister and Congress rebel leader Kalikho Pul was found dead in mysterious conditions at his residence in Itanagar.
Police officials not authorized to talk to the media on condition of anonymity said, “The former CM was found hanging from a fan in his residence.”
He added that today morning when his relatives tried to wake him but when he did not respond to the calls. Family members forced into his room and to their shock found him hanging from a fan.
Pul,47-year-old, had been chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh for four-and-half months
In early 2016, but was forced to resign in wake of an adverse Supreme Court verdict.
According to initial reports it is believed that Pul has committed but no official statement has been issued by the officials, his colleagues or family members relating to his death.
Congress rebel, Pul was appointed as the acting chief minister of AP on February19,2016 and served his term till July. Pul then came to power with support of 12MLAs supporting NabamTuki joined him.
The deceased minister has also served as finance minister from 2003-2007.
