Madrid, July 22 (IANS) Atletico Madrid footballers Juanfran Torres, Augusto Fernandez and Sime Vrsaljko received medical discharge on Saturday to travel with the Spanish club to Mexico.
Atletico will travel Sunday to Mexico, where the Spanish club is set to play the first friendly match of the pre-season against Toluca on July 25, reports Efe.
Argentine midfielder Augusto has been given the all-clear after 10 months of recovering from a right knee injury sustained on September 25 in a match against Deportivo de La Coruña.
Croatian defender Vrsaljko suffered a left knee injury on March 19 during a game against Sevilla.
Spanish defender Juanfran sustained a muscle injury in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Leicester City on April 18.
The three players, included in the 24-player list called for a Toluca friendly, are already available for Argentine coach Diego Pablo Simeone.
