AAP’s Bhagwant Mann appeared a confident man when he came to vote in Mohali this morning. Speaking to the media, he said he was confident that his party would win more than 100 seats in Punjab’s 117 member assembly. Bhagwant Mann is one of the most prominent AAP leaders in Punjab. On questioned whether he will be the Chief Minister if AAP comes to power in Punjab, Bhagwant said it would be too early to comment on that. However, he added that people know what’s happening and it shouldn’t be a surprise.
Bhagwant also talked about his experience while interacting with voters, saying that AAP has peoples’ support in all the three regions of Punjab – Majha, Malwa, and Doaba. About Jalalabad seat, from where he is contesting, Bhagwant said that he will win with a huge margin, well above 50,000 votes. He reasoned that people are fed up with gundagardi and mafia raj, and want change, which is why AAP is likely to win the Punjab polls. Bhagwant is contesting against Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and the Congress’ Ravneet Bittu in Jalalabad.
A leading political pundit also supported Bhagwant Mann’s views, saying that AAP will win around 85-95 seats in Punjab; Congress will be second with around 20 seats and SAD-BJP combine will get about 10-15 seats.
