With a dream of creating her own identity and a never give up mind-set, Bindita Sinha is a determined youngster who is presently working in the area of content developer. She likes to work in writing areas as writing is her sideline as well. She is a multi tasking girl managing her professional career along with her own start ups. She is working for Jupiter Infomedia Private Limited as a content writer in Kolkata. Along with it, she is a freelance writer, media writer blogger, citizen journalist, social activist, cinematographer, script writer and video editor as well.
Born in a small town of Assam, Silchar, Bindita was never good at mathematics and science. Most people around us believe that there is no other career apart from becoming a doctor or an engineer, or maybe a banker. These are the alleged protected and safe jobs for girls. She chose a pen for herself, she chose literature and writing. She wanted to raise herself as an influential writer, thus, chose her hobby as her occupation.
Bindita Sinha has completed her masters in Mass Communication and Journalism from Tezpur Central University. While studying English Honours from Radhamadhab College of Arts and Commerce, she decided to go for print media but people did not like it. Her ‘well-wishers’ did not contact her, but she knew that her family would understand and, they did.
Bindita Sinha has started her professional career during her college days. She started writing in different local newspapers, magazines and blogs. She has worked as a field reporter for the local Bengali newspapers like ‘Samayik Proshongo’. She has done a computer course from National Institute of Information and Technology and this helped her in working at Wipro, Kolkata. She has worked for technical support of domestic HP laptops consumers in Wipro Kolkata for 6 months. After that, she changed her stream and has been working in content writing field.
She has also worked for international companies as freelancer like ‘compustores’ along with many national companies like ‘vayu travels’, ‘ellora exim’ and so on. She is also setting up for starting her own novel. She believes in hard and smart work rather than luck. She wants to work in media writing sector. She is a social activist also and was a part of CRY (Child Rights and You). She was a part of several social protests and always stands for the legitimacy. She went to jail once as she spoke against one of alleged politicians in a burning protest. Apart from these, Bindita has a blog in Youth Ki Awaaz (Times of India Blog) where her write ups are being published under different sections for their individuality and excellence. She has an official facebook page (Bindita’s Chalksty) which is loaded with exclusive unheard of facts of India.
She is the winner of Filmmaking Competition (The Bindi Project) organized by Anuvad Translation Festival 2016 in Assam. Her short movie “The Transgression: Saga or Ease?” has been selected for the 6th Kolkata Shorts International Film Festivals Kolkata 2017. Her article ‘Say so’ and ‘Is talking to a Muslim guy lead to molestation?’, ‘Is talking To a Muslim Guy Lead to Molestation?’, ‘Is there any right for us?’ and ‘Education, Women and Society’ have been published in jagoroniya.com have been published in induswomanwriting.com.
Bindita comes from a very ethnic community of India, Bishnupriya Manipuri and currently living in Kolkata. All the experiences and struggles are the greatest teachers she has ever got. She had to go through a lot of difficulties, problems and hardships but she never gave up. She is a happy go lucky girl with an ambition of becoming an influential author.
