A 33 year old BSF constable Mohammed Rameez Parray was shot dead by terrorist in North Kashmir.
The constable was on 37 day leave since Aug 26.
The Murder comes after the killing of Lt Umar Fayaz in South Kashmir earlier this year.
At about 10 pm three suspected terrorist entered the house of Parray a resident of Hajin.
Sources said that the three terrorist tried to take Parray hostage, but when the family resisted they fired upon Parray and family members.
The constable died on the spot and three of his family members including his father, mother and aunt got injured in the attack.
They have been shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment.
Parray joined BSF in 2011 and served nearly for six years.
Sources from the BSF said two advisories were issued in the past few months regarding threat to Kashmiri serving personnel to take precautions while going home.
The incident comes after a BSF officer received death threats from militants. The advisory was repeated when Lt Umar Fayaz was killed.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his condolences on Twitter. He condemned the incident calling it abominable and offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
