IT was a mystery that had left a family heartbroken and resigned to its loss – but the discovery of Bubbles, the Ferguson family’s beloved domestic short-hair cat eight long months after disappearing without trace, has ensured that this is one tale with a happy ending.
Incredibly, having gone AWOL from Ayr last June, last week Bubbles eventually resurfaced in Shawlands – some 35 miles from her family home!
Oliver Jackson, a partner in The Pets‘n’Vets Family, said: “Bubbles was handed in to our Pollokshaws practice last week by a concerned lady who had found her wandering the streets in Shawlands.
“Fortunately, she was micro-chipped, so we were able to identify her quickly and reunite her with her overwhelmed family, having checked that she was in good health. Bubbles is remaining tight-lipped about her adventures, so it looks like how she wound up 35 miles from home will have to remain an unresolved mystery!”
The Pets‘n’Vets Family operates a network of seven veterinary surgeries in and around Glasgow.
