Finally Cabinet has agreed to IIIT-PPP Bill 2017. Now it finalized the choice of granting degree power to IIITs set up finished Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Entire 15 Indian Institutes of Information Technology system under the PPP method are today granted degree awarding power, Cabinet is approving a bill stating them as Institutions of National Importance.
Other than this, Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has accepted the proposal for 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas. Total cost of proposal demands some 1160 crore.
Around 650 regular jobs will be created for 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas, these 50 schools will be holding strength of 50000 students.
Human Resource Development Ministry announced to start 20 new Indian Institute of Information Technology in the country under PPP mode and some 15 IITs are existing at Chittoor, Guwahati, Vadodara, Kota, Srirangam and others. Each IIIT setup cost will be 128 crore.
