Man who ‘saved’ Gandhi in 1944 dies at 98

Veteran freedom fighter Bhiku Daji Bhilare alias Bhilare Guruji who saved Mahatma Gandhi from Godse in 1944 passed away in Bhilar near the hill station on Wednesday. He was 98. Tamil Nadu MLAs salary hiked to Rs 1.05 lakh

The salaries of Tamil Nadu MLAs has been increased from Rs 55,000 to Rs 1.05 lakh per month, chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami announced in the assembly on Wednesday.
