Charosa Selection Viognier is a premium offering from Charosa Vineyards. Located in the Dindori-Niphad-Satara area of Nashik, the vineyard is spread across a sprawling 230 acre farmland that has the most appropriate soil and weather conditions for making top quality wine. The vineyard is surrounded by lush green forests, impressive water bodies, majestic valleys, and picturesque hills, enabling a conducive, natural environment for growing the best quality grapes and transforming it into world class wine.
At Charosa Vineyards, making fine wine is all about blending the tenets of science and art. The vineyard follows a unique wine making process, characterized by the use of open tank fermenters, a first of its kind technique used in India. Specialized equipment is used at Charosa vineyards, for instance, the inert gas press, which ensures the quality and consistency of juice being used to make wine. The vineyard is focused on creating wines that can match the quality of international wine brands.
Charosa Selection Viognier features a rich, fruity floral nose. It carries various aromas of sweet spices such as cinnamon and delicate apricot. The wine is bright, straw-yellow and it features a full palate. Owing to its short ageing in new French oak barrels, the wine has a soft silky texture to it.
Charosa Selection Viognier is best enjoyed with dishes that have a smoky character and are taken with rich sauces. The wine is suited for both Indian and Chinese dishes. Since it carries flavors of peach/apricot, it would go well with these fruits as well.
