At a young age SnehaSinghi found a strong inclination towards her one simple goal in life – To bring a smile on people’s faces and invoke delight through pure gastronomic magic!
Hence, finding her true calling, she embarked on a journey to Paris to learn the secrets of cooking greatness from arguably the best culinary institute in the world – the prestigious Le cordon blue. Not only did she complete her Pâtisserie diploma with flying colours, but ably demonstrated her astute experimental approach to combine recipes coupled with clinical perfection in churning out incredible cuisine. At Le cordon blue Sneha explored the delicate world of gourmet cuisine, and learnt advanced baking and cake decoration. She went on to work under renowned pastry chef Pierre Herméand luxury bakers ladurée. This further enhanced her skill palette and helped her gain priceless knowledge, particularly in French and continental cuisine.
Sneha then embarked on her dream to run her own café when she opened Paris Café in Kolkata India in March 2013. And successful she was…when Paris Café gained popularity at a fierce pace, winning the Times Food award consecutively in 2014 and 2015 for the Best Café and Best Confectionary categories respectively. Zomato, the top food review service in the country awarded Paris Café, the users choice honors for deserts and cakes. By October 2014 Sneha opened a second branch at Salt Lake, serving a wide range of desserts, baked goods and mouthwatering cuisine. Today Paris Café attracts a plethora of customers ranging from college students to food connoisseurs and has created a niche for itself as a premier café offering delectable cuisine and experience at par with the best in the country. Sneha is one of the youngest chefs in the city, admired by peers and critics alike and when she’s not busy running Paris Café, one could find her busy regaling cooking enthusiasts and professionals with cooking lessons and demonstrations. It is no surprise that Sneha is one of the select few who have been chosen to host the Goût de France 2015 in kolkata on the 19th March.
