CHILD EDUCATION STATUS IN INDIA

A CHILD OF TODAY IS A RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF TOMORROW

A good and healthy education can make a responsible citizen. If the education system is only for limited in certificate and money then result is a looser team in a field of war and defeat is must be there.  So that we have to changes our tradition, our method and our principle which is starting with me then us.

INTRODUCTION

NATIONAL ANTHEM IS SUNG IN MOST OF THE SCHOOL DAILY. BUT HOW MANY OF THEM KNOW THE MEANING OF IT. SO THINK HOW OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM IS AND WHAT THIS SYSTEM ACTUALLY TEACHES OUR STUDENTS.

Education refers to the intellectual and moral training that systematically enlarges the spheres of knowledge, develops character as well as mental faculties and evolves a definite pattern on relationship between an individual and the society. The importance of Education is, when it is pursuits of knowledge becomes a definite process of enlightenment that aims at liberation of the ego. Also encourages intellectual and moral approach to life, helps to earn the materials needs of life. Education builds character, moral values and personally of a man. But it’s a very sigh thing for us now education is means only collection of certificate and income money which result is very clear and that is failure of different major activity. Now the question is arising in every mind how to change it in whatever way? And this is the perfect time lets go towards one more step to change because changing is tarts with me then us.

WHAT IS EDUCATION

Dream a developed India is impossible without a strong and meaningful education. For a dark house there is a source of light is requiring avoid darkness. Similarly education is a sources of developed where it destroy all darkness in our society.

In our daily life three things are basic needs and that is Food, Dresses and House except that another is Education, which is very important for all category. But especially it is mostly important for present and coming generation shortly it is the generation of future of India. In India education is very older, it related from array samaj. Where teachers are teaches their student the principle of life and its importance in daily life. Education is a principle of our life, which teaches us what is right or what is wrong?

PRESENT SCENARIO OF CHILD EDUCATION IN INDIA

a2The education system in India faces numerous problems relating to educational institutions, teacher and student. Mismanagement of all types in education institution and maladministration of educational programmes are quite common, commercialization of education system, particularly technical and professional educational come to stay. Teacher’s indiscipline is rampant. While teacher may or may have   genuine problems their unions have increasingly restored to indiscipline and coercive means to achieve their goals. Basic commitment to their profession is lacking in many teachers.

The present day education system in India has a long way and old tradition have undergone a makeover to produce an eco-system that is evolving every single day. Right to education act has provided impacts to growth and progress by laying special emphasis on elementary education in India. Combined with policy changes like making child labor illegal the being government is working ensure that the speed of education are planted in both the rural and less privileged sub urban areas of the country through there are a number of pressing challenges at hand that hamper the proliferation.

The Indian education system is in great trouble. These are some of the faults I finds in the current education system.

1-Several children do not even get a basic elementary education.

2-The rich and upper middle class in cities find decent quality private school to send their children to even in these schools, getting a pass in the exams is the priority, not learning. Even this school fails in teaching various arts, and in particularly common sense to children.

4-Even if a student graduates from higher secondary school, there are not enough colleges. The only left to most high school graduates is correspondence education. It is not clear to me whether one can be motivated enough to study through the correspondence course material sitting at home.

5-Even if one graduates from colleges, the graduates are mostly unemployable, because of poor quality course material are teaching in the colleges. I have my self seen a number of such people while interviewing them for various time in different way.

Despite all this, several thousand young men and women have been leading our nation foreword. On just about all counts of economic indicators including the foreign exchange reserves “India is shining”. Just imagine where if we can be if only we resolved our education related problems?

A CHILD OF TODAY IS A ADULT CITIZEN OF TOMORROW

a2

The importance of school education lies in the fact that the children of today will become adult citizen of tomorrow. The growth and future of our country highly depends upon the quality of the present school education system. But, we notice that the less privilege get sub-standard schools. The teacher teaches like drudges and there is little participation. In a good school the chief object of the authority is to stimulate interest and curiosity in the student. Today in major cases these happens because of high fees. In India this disparity is providing to be cancerous for the nation. Merit is never an exclusive possession of the affluent class. Unless opportunity of good education trail down to the grass-root level, the health of the nation will suffer.

It is important to understand that the facilities for education should be equal for all. A large cross section of dull, unresponsive student that hail from the affluent class makes their way into good school where highly paid good teacher serve. On the other hand, such good school is clean beyond the reach of honest earning parents. Thus there is cleavage between quality education and quality students today. Quality Education is the right of every quality student.

GOVT. INSTITUTION VERSUS PRIVATE INSTITUTION

Why is India still a developing country and what I stopping it from being a developed country? This particularly question strikes me every time when I read something about India’s education system. I see India’s education system as a stumbling block towards its objectives of achieving inclusive growth. The really critical aspects of Indian public education system are its low quality. The actual quantity of schooling that children experience and the quality of teaching they receive are extremely insufficient in government schools. A common feature in all government schools is the poor quality of education, with weak infrastructure and inadequate pedagogic attention. What the government is not realizing right now is that education which is a source of human capital can create wide income inequalities. It will be surprising to see how income inequalities are created within the same group of educated people. So if the government does not improve education system particularly in rural areas the rich will become richer and poor will get poorer.

Another reason for poor quality of education is the poor quality of teachers in govt.schools. Govt. school is unable to attract to good quality teacher due to inadequate teaching facilities and low salaries. The govt. currently spends only 3% of GDP on education which is inadequate and insufficient. To improve the quality of education, the government needs to spend more money from its coffers on education.

I hope government takes certain appropriate policy measure to improve the education system otherwise inequalities are going to be widespread and India’s basic capabilities will remain stunted. Let us strength the case for a stronger education system.

ROLE OF PARENTS AND SOCIETY

a3

A parents is a primary teacher where society is example, from this two things a child start their education. So that a good and bad education both is depend upon on respective society. This is not enough if a teacher is good because for a student only 8 hours spend in institution but the rest time 16 hours are their parents and society. In between this major time is very important for this child because the culture and behavior are directly affecting this. Some places family and education is best but the environment of society is bad which also make this child bad affect. For a good child there is a good family and society and for that some importance things are described below

1-Try to always transfer good communication in a proper way and avoid any type of slangs word or filthy languages.

2-Try to make a good and discipline family with a huge help and affection is there.

3-Any type of tobacco, drinks and smoking areas must be far from your environment.

4-Coordinate in different activities to commissioner, school and mass education sector so that education system changes and improve towards good quality.

Local education institution plays an important in area of education. As our country is poor and cannot afford the heavy expenses of educational institution, local education bodies are allowed opening their school and government recognizes this institution at par with the govt. institution. Minority institution has their own expenses or govt. grants aid. But they fill the gap and help the govt. to reduce it burden.

HOW TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION

As we all are responsible citizen of India after that we all have some duty towards our country, our society and this is also a major duty to improve our education system and qualities.

Here some of my ideas below

  1. COMPULSORY FREE EDUCATION TO ALL TILL CLASS XII

The state and central government should complete absorb the cost of providing free education till 12th standard to every child, irrespective caste, religion and economic status. This should cover not just school fees, but also free books, food if necessary, uniform clothing and even a place to stay if the parents cannot afford that to their children. Those with money can always pot for their favorite private school, and feed their own children. Alternately, some rich may decide to send their children to the govt. school.

  1. GOVT. SCHOOL SHOULD BE RUN BY PRIVATE ENTERPRENUER

It is very doubtful if the government can manage hiring qualified teachers and provide quality education to children. Like in the USA, the government can opt for building the school and them available to private companies on a long-term lease, based on auction. The organization that comes up with the lowest bid and agrees to maintain the best quality education would be chosen to run each school in each locality.

  1. ALTERNATE EDUCATION MUST BE EMPHASIS

It appears that there is no need to teach anyone for more than 5 hours a day till the secondary school. Therefore, the available education infrastructure can be used more effectively through the shift system. Every hour gap between must be relax to for mind fresh. In the late night, the facility can be used to provide education to old and unlettered. Facility such as building, furniture, library, computer center, laboratories and play fields can be used very efficiently in this manner.

  1. REMOVANCE OF PROFITED PRIVATE COLLEGES

Today a charitable trust can set up educational institution. Therefore, honest entrepreneurs interested in making profits will not get involved in spending their time and setting up their quality educational institution. The result is that the criminals who plunder money illegally in the name of charitable trust get involved in providing education, and make money through capitation fees. To stop this, the government should allow for profit companies to set up educational institutions.

This move will result in considerable capital flowing into the education sector. This college so set up will still come under the purview of the education ministries around the country, and so the govt. can still regulate the fees charge for providing the education. This is akin to regulating the distribution of power in Mumbai and Delhi. The govt. regulator only decides the upper limit cost per unit of power. Similar regulation now exists in telecom. Therefore it is perfectly possible to bring about the same in education as well.

I do not claim that this suggestion, if implemented, will remove all problems we have in our education sector. However I am hopeful that they can alleviate the problem considerably.

CONCLUSION

Teachers are the backbone of the educational system in India. And students are the future of our country. So that if anyone is disturbance in their field then result is failure. Because in both one is future and another is future maker. But last in 20th century there is a lot of problem in between teacher and student relationship. Where both are looses their position. Education is not in our certificate it must be in our mind, so that the quality of education is improve and we all are proudly tell that Education is not for money but for achievement towards success. Now the time have come let’s start our method and our teaching system filterised and give a strong and meaningful Education. Because

  • Education is not limited within pen and paper,
  •  Education is spread over in everywhere.
  •   Education is not for income money,
  •  But for a meaningful life.
