Mumbai, May 2019: India’s leading Stones Company – Classic Marble Company (CMC) has created an exclusive portfolio of flooring designs with its trending Terrazzo marble collection. Launched under the company’s KalingaStone brand, the Terrazzo engineered marble has captured the imagination of the architectural world for its retro yet contemporary designs.
With 18 distinct products available in the collection, the flooring designs have been created in permutations and combinations of the varying shades and styles. The creative flooring layouts include the staggered pattern, the flemish bond pattern which alternates in rectangle and squares shapes, chequered pattern and diagonal pattern, among others. Ideal for flooring with two or multiple shades, these patterns exemplify the fineness in shape, design, and colour variations beautifully. The Terrazzo has contemporary charm but its origins date back to the Art Deco and Modern styles from the 1920s to 1940s.
The Terrazzo range has Colosseo, Forum, Imperiale, Livigno, Riva, Sanpietro and Tosca in lighter marble shades and Ceppo, Ducale, Elba, Etna, Livori, Michelangelo, Navona, Otranto, Siennia, Tarento, and Trevi in the dark shades. A composite material, the Terrazzo’s decorative patterns are a mix of quartz, granite and silica chips frozen in marble. When installed in creative patterns, the visuals are gratifying and stylish.
KalingaStone’s Terrazzo is almost non-porous and flexible but harder than natural marble making it an ideal choice for flooring application in both the interiors as well as exteriors.
