Today colleges in the Kashmir Valley are reopened after remaining closed for continuous five days as students were demonstrating past week against the purported extraordinary-handedness of the security forces. As per the official, today morning teachers have started their work at school. On Tuesday, all colleges were suspended. Many students of these colleges were held while demonstrating and protesting. Students clashed with the security forces and many students got injured in the incident.
After the clash and demonstration, the Divisional Administration issued orders for shutting off all colleges and higher secondary schools in the Kashmir Valley.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan told to principals of numerous colleges to confirm nonviolent atmosphere in their colleges and also stop entry of outsiders in the colleges. He also asked principals to accept proactive attitude in dealing with any unfortunate event in the colleges.
