In a stinging attack on Shiv Sena, Congress leader Nitesh Rane said today that Shiv Sena should be included in the Guinness World Records for issuing the most number of threats to withdraw support to the BJP-led government in Maharashtra. He was referring to the constant talk by Shiv Sena to withdraw support, which has not come true till now. Nitesh Rane has even written a letter to Guinness authorities, saying that this would be a first of its kind record to find place in the Guinness World Records.
The letter is quite humorous, as it says, “We would like to register a record on his (Uddhav Thackeray) behalf, “for announcing number of times that his party Shiv Sena would withdraw their support from the Maharashtra government.” “Request you to accept this letter of application and arrange to register the same.” The letter has the signature of Nitesh Narayan Rane.
However, Shiv Sena responded to the letter with an equally hard-hitting reply. Sena spokesperson Manisha Kayande said that Nitesh was a child in politics and he is just utilizing his father’s name for getting publicity. Manisha also said that Shiv Sena already holds a Guinness record. Manisha was referring to the Sena’s record of collecting the most donated blood in a day, around 24,200 bottles at a blood donation camp organized in 2010.
