Corbett Tiger Reserve Issues Shoot at Sight Orders

Corbett Tiger Reserve allotted an order of shoot-at-sight against poachers. However orders are to be conceded only for self-defense against poachers who are carrying weapons as per Parag Madhukar Dhakate director of Corbett Tiger Reserve.

Seeing the tiger census data out in 2015, Uttarakhand, has 340 tigers and stands second for having highest tiger population in the country following Karnataka.  The best things can be seen as wildlife experts say that tiger population has increased in previous couple of years. On Tuesday a 5 days anti-poaching operation was started after the information of suspected movement of poachers was on.

As per Parag Madhukar Dhakate they got certain inputs from the intelligence agencies after that they started an anti-poaching operation.

Further, he added that they have closed the entry points on northern and southern borders and forest employees are instructed to shoot any poacher or hunter seen with arms in the essential critical tiger habitat region.
