Crooked builders run away with Rs 2.51 crore

Over 500 peoples including some government offices who booked flats in Kalamboli and Shukhapur (that were being developed by a real estate player Shirishkumar Rangrao Chavan alias Raju) were duped. To their dismay, It has been reported that builder has run away with all the amount of Rs 2.51 crore, collected as token money at the time of registration of flats, after cheating the peoples  .

An FIR has been lodged under the section IPC 420, 406 against him in Vashi police station. The fraud came in light when same flat was sold to two different buyers. While investigating the case, 2 more cases came to the knowledge of police. Thus, in total, there were three cases. Then, police started the case investigation in full fledge mode.

Builder promised the buyers possession of flats within one and half years. But, Buyers didn’t get possession even after the 2 years. And when tried to contact the management teams of builder Shirishkumar Rangrao Chavan, they founds offices shut.

Buyers filed cheating case against the builder. Police took instant action and sealed the offices of Shirishkumar Rangrao and circulated the letter to banks including Axis, HDFC, IDBI about the fraud. This ensure that no money will transfer further in his account.

Hope, Buyers will get justice and their refunds soon under the Modi Government which brings many delighted polices for the Real Estate sector and for the Peoples searching home.
