Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival receives entries from more than 1000 talents across globe
Dadasaheb Phalke’s International Film Festival (DPIFF) has opened its door for talent across the globe from this year onwards. DPIFF is India’s only independent international film festival, with a mission to celebrate the cinema and work of aspiring, young, independent and professional filmmakers. It acts as a platform to honour and recognise talents working towards the upliftment of the entertainment industry by creating content through films, television, short films, etc.
After opening entries from across the world, the organisation has already received participation from more than 90 countries in the span of 1 week. Abhishek Mishra, CEO of DPIFF expresses, “It feels like an abundance of creativity and talent under a roof. We wanted to be connected to endless creativity. We wanted to aspire people from different part of the world.”
“Acknowledging is not important, appreciating the same is the key. Today it is even a tougher job to choose one as a winner amongst 1000s participant but this is the most pleasing feeling to recognise talent across the globe,”adds Mishra.
Abhishek also reveals a social cause associated by DPIFF this year. He says, “As a CSR activity we are starting an initiative. It’s called ‘WE ARE CHILD LABOUR FREE ORGANISATION, ARE YOU?’. We intend to spread the message of child labour free country amongst the masses.”
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards is slated to happen on the 20th of February, 2019 amidst the respectables of the Indian Entertainment Industry.
