Dawood’s brother vacates his building in Mumbai fearing collapse after heavy rains

The building collapse in south Mumbai killed atleast 22 lives and left another 13 injured has made gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar to vacate his building next door in Bhendi Bazaar.

On Thursday morning the five-storey Hussaini Manzil building, located on Pakmodia Street, collapsed.

Dawood Ibrahim’s younger brother Iqbal Kaskar stays in the Dambarwala building which is located beside Hussaini Manzil building that crumbled down.

Kaskar stays on the fourth floor while his office is on the first floor.

The building has a total of 18 flats and 8 shops and reportedly all are owned by Kaskar.

The remaining floors are occupied by tenants.

After Hussaini Manzil building collapsed Kaskar feared that his building would also crash down after heavy rainfall.

Other tenants also started making arrangements to shift from the building.

Another four-storey building located opposite to the Hussaini Manzil is also being vacated.
