In a tragic incident in Germany, number of people are feared dead in a bus crash in Bavaria.
It is feared that at least Eighteen people are missing and feared dead after flames engulfed a tour bus that crashed on the A9 motorway in southern Germany. The reports are that the bus collided with a truck near Stammbach in north Bavaria.
The bus was carrying 46 people at the time, collided with a truck and then burst into flames. Police also said that 31 people were seriously injured in the crash.
Police have blocked the motorway. It is not yet clear what caused the collision. Traffic was reportedly moving slowly at the time.
Officials in the fire department say that there is a very slim chance of those 18 missing could have survived.
The coach was travelling from the eastern region of Lausitz in Saxony towards Nuremberg when it crashed into the lorry at the end of a traffic jam. The lorry load included beds and pillows and also immediately went up in flames.
Emergency services including firefighters, rescue helicopters and paramedics attended the scene, and the road was closed in both directions.
No information was available about the whereabouts of the truck driver.
