Congress-vice president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the demonetisation of Rs500 and Rs1000 notes by Narendra Modi led NDA-government will turn out to be a scam.
“This move by the Modi government will surely turn out to be a big scam,” Rahul said.
Rahul also alleged that the prime minister had alerted his party-workers prior the demonetisation announcement. Stating examples the Congress-vice president claimed that before the announcement of demonetisation, several images of BJP leaders with Rs2000 notes had gone viral on the internet.
“BJP workers were seen holding up bundles of Rs 2000 notes in the images being circulated in the Internet, before the prime minister announced this decision,” he added.
“Is there any explanation of the deposition made in crores by the BJP party workers just before the announcement of the demonetisation and introduction of new currency,” said Rahul.
He also stated that the NDA-run government has let go big players of black money – Vijay Mallaya and Lalit Modi – scott-free.
He also requested the government to come up with solution to end the long queues in banks and ATM-kiosks.
