The New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and it’s the time to celebrate, eat, drink and enjoy. We all do it, and we make sure that we leave no stone unturned to make this year’s celebrations a grand one. In the process we let ourselves lose and lost, submerged in drinks and foods.

These celebrations are a part of our life, and we should indulge ourselves in it to whatever extend we can, because we have waited a full long year for it to come.   • Maintain Your Diet and Fitness Consistency

It is of paramount importance that you keep on maintaining your diet and fitness, as you have done all the year around. For the most of us, getting busy and messing up with the regular schedule is quite natural. We likely tend to overeat during the festivities, making us gain weight and attracting other health issues. You need to stay focused and work out time for fitness and healthy eating practices.

  • Control Eating

New Year and its associated festivities are all about rich and sugary foods. Breaking the jinx on some occasions is ok but not always. Eat a normal diet throughout the day and you can opt for some special festivity foods in the evening gala dinner. It will not harm you. If you binge on the festivity foods all through the day and the season, you are for sure going to put on weight and feel sick later.

For the evening dinner, control your portion size, take a smaller plate to eat and try to grab something light like healthy snacks before the dinner. Also for dinner, do not fill your plate and do not tend to finish everything that’s there on the offering.

If possible avoid any alcohol consumption or be good with only a couple of drinks.

  • Eat foods rich in protein and a lot of greens

When you are in the party for the evening, hit the greens, salads and lean meats like turkey and chicken. Eating these will get you more proteins and fibers and keep you full longer. This way you will not gain weight and remain fit and healthy.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a personal decision, but at the same time it is also true that it helps you stay fit and healthy. This New Year you do not need any resolution to stay healthy, what you need all is strong determination and will power.
