All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (Amma) leader T T V Dinakaran was arrested in New Delhi late on Tuesday night after four days of questioning by Delhi Police. This is in with regards to the attempted Election Commission bribery case to reclaim the Two Leaves symbol for the party conniving with Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Initially when the news was leaked out, Dinakaran vehemently denied that he has not even heard of the name and that he should not be projected as accused but when the Delhi cops provided the evidence of the recorded tape conversation and also the cctv footage of his visit in a mall, he was dumbstruck.
Dinakaran was on Tuesday called for questioning at 5 pm at the Crime Branch Inter State Cell office in Chanakyapuri and was arrested around midnight, Praveer Ranjan, JCP (crime), said. Along with him, Mallikarjuna who was accompanying Dinakaran everywhere was also arrested after being interrogated for he second day on Tuesday.
Dinakaran had on Monday confessed meeting Sukesh assuming he was a high court judge.
