A probe has been ordered by Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja into an incident in which surgeons allegedly forget a surgical clip in the abdomen of a woman.
The forgetting of the surgical instrument by the surgeons came into notice after an operation theatre staff of Nedumangad Tulak hospital found that a surgical-clip was missing during counts of the surgical items.
The operated woman was rushed for x-ray examination where the doctors found the missing surgical instrument was lying in her abdomen.
According to the relatives of the victim doubted something fishy and began enquiring in delay of bringing the operated-women out of operation theatre.
The relatives later rushed the women to a hospital in Thriruvanathapuram where the surgical-clip was removed.
According to doctors who removed the surgical-clip said the woman is recovering fast.
