Dortmund Borussia has won the Bundesiga Finals by defeating Eintracht Frankfurt which ended their three final defeats in a row. A penalty by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made it possible for the team which choked in the past 3 editions making it compared to South Africa in cricket. The final scores read as 2-1 in favour of the Champions.
Ousmane Dembele scored the first goal at the eighth minute for Dortmund and this was equalled at the 29th minute by Ante Rabic. They missed another opportunity to convert an opportunity to a goal when Haris Seferovic hit the post for Frankfurt.
Aubameyang who is rumoured to be in the process of getting transferred either to Manchester City, Manchester United or PSG. This was his 40th goal of the season for the striker.
Aubameyang had further opportunities but was denied by the bar before his penalty, and then by the post later on. Frankfurt’s Dembele scooped over a cross that Aubameyang met with a flying volley that defender Marco Fabian, on the line, diverted on to the bar. Another opportunity of Timothy Chandler heading over was stopped.
Dortmund Borussia has suffered the three previous final defeats, twice against Bayern Munich and once by Wolfsburg.
