in the Avant Garde Category
Mumbai, February 2015: The Artisan Awards celebrated 100 years of Indian Cinema with symbols of Indian life and culture through 4 iconic eras – Monochromatic Magic (black and white era), Golden Glory (golden era), Colourama (masala films era) & The Avant Garde (the era of global reach). At a recent ceremony, Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers won an award in the Avant Garde category at the prestigious Artisan Awards 2015.
The Avant Garde Category embraces films that include women empowerment and the courage to lead the world. The team at Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers took jewellery designing a notch higher by creating a piece that pushed the limits of design and creativity, seeking inspiration from the famed Bollywood movie Queen, in sheer tandem with the theme.
Inspired by the spirit of the much celebrated movie, the showcased piece portrays the manifestation of courage to rise to an occasion, to battle the odds and still emerge victorious. The flight from despair to determination, all the while firmly rooted in one’s beliefs, and an unshakable sense of identity (Patina) that finally embellishes one’s character (Pearls), applaud true creativity in a marriage between grace, charm and attention.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rajesh Tulsiani, Co director of Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers said; “This award is a motivation to believe in the characteristics and foundation of true design and gives us the appreciation that infuses love and confidence in a team like ours.”
