The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said today that it has found incriminating documents while raids conducted at properties of Misa Bharti, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. The raids were conducted in connection with the money laundering case filed against Misa and her husband Shailesh Kumar. In a statement issued by ED, it has been stated, “The team today conducted raids at the Mishail Packers and Printers Pvt Ltd and its directors Shailesh and Misa Bharti in Delhi. During the raids, incriminating documents, electronic devices including mobile phones have been recovered and seized.”
Earlier during the day, Misa’s husband Shailesh was taken to Delhi’s Sainik Farms for questioning. The properties raided included those located in Ghitorni, Bijwasan and Sainik Farms. Two more properties are under the scanner of ED and these could also be searched later. It has been alleged that Misa and her husband have been involved in laundering several crores of rupees through shell companies. Involvement of other business entities has also been found and currently investigations are being conducted to identify more persons who may be associated with these entities and involved in the money laundering.
