The match that was expected the most for long – what we call it as Clash of Titans happened yesterday night which saw some high voltage performance sending the viewers into dizzy. It was he clash of FC Barcelona with Real Madrid. Though FC Barcelona has won most number of times, when these two team met in 2012, it was Real Madrid which emerged victorious.
As these two teams are the most valuable teams in the World with FC Barcelona having Lionel Messi and Real Madrid having Cristiano Ronaldo who both has won the “Most Valuable Player in the World” among themselves for record number of times, the expectations were high to see which player would score in this match to guide his team to victory.
With Carlos Casemiro of Real Madrid scoring the first goal at 28th Minute, Lionel Messi responded by scoring a gal himself at the 33rd minute making both the scores equal. Ivan Rakitic scored a goal for FC Barcelona at the 73rd minute which was matched by James Rodriguez at the 85th minute and by the end of the total time, both teams were at 2-2. It was the usual Golden Goal rule that was followed and within the stipulated time, at 1 min 48 seconds on to the Golden Goal time, Lionel Messi scored another goal to guide his team to victory. This incidentally happened to be the 500th Goal for Barcelona.
It is also to be noted that FC Barcelona was defeated in the Semis of Champions League just few days back by Juventus and Messi was criticised. He has now repaid it back by guiding his team to victory.
