Flipkart would create over 20 lakh jobs through its marketplace and ancillary services in 2015 said it on Wednesday. Also, the company in its announcement said that 60 per cent of the job will be created in the logistics and warehousing sectors.
The leading e-shop also said that,within 2015, Tier II and Tier III cities will cover over 50-60 per cent of the employment.
Generation of employment across the domestic e-commerce ecosystem will contribute rapid development of employment across the sectors.
The sellers are the vital role in creation of jobs across India and the maximum employment would be created from sellers of home products, apparels, mobile accessories and small appliances. Consequently, based on that over half a million jobs were created in the e-commerce space alone, last year.
According to Ankit Nagori, SVP, Marketplace, Flipkart. told that present e-commerce has emerged as one of the key drivers of economy als, lot of generation of employment opportunities were developed. And he added that, Sellers on our marketplace are direct responsible for employment within their own communities. To the fact, e-commerce facilities like merchandising, buying, packaging have generated more than 75,000 jobs in the last one year. It is planning to build training program to 40 cities in the next six months.
