In another surprising element to PM Narendra Modi’s foreign policy, he has decided to fast-track his Oman visit to build strong partnership with the nation.
Since the elevation of Sayyid Asad Bin Tariq Al as the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of international affairs on March 2 by the Oman ing Sultan Qaboos, PM Modi has given special attention to the region.
It is also believed that this development clearly indicates that Sayyid Asad Bin Tariq Al will most likely succeed Sultan Qaboos as the ruler of Oman. PM Modi believes that this visit is very much required to boost the bilateral ties, especially since Oman had been a steady partner of India in the Gulf region.
India and Oman have been engaged in a strong strategic partnership with PM Modi as it was the first of the Gulf countries to warm to the Modi government in the summer of 2014.
