Paris is one of the Europe’s thriving start-up ecosystem with entrepreneurs innovating across sectors including Fintech, AgriTech and Emerging Technologies with opportunities for new business ideas. Promising startups embraced the $1 Million Challenge, a Govt of Andhra Pradesh, India initiative as part of the Vizag Fintech Festival.
Paris, October 3rd: Global startup challenge roadshow, AP $1 Million Global Challenge today held its Paris event at Bpifronce. More than 100 startups applied for the challenge and went through a screening process.
- More than 100 delegatesparticipated including those from Chambere de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris, Corporates, Start-ups, and Investment Firms.
- Over 20 finalist start-ups pitched in the areas of FinTech, EmergeTech and AgriTech.
- Roadshow continues to London on Oct 5th,2018 as part of global roadshow in 8 cities and thereon to Bangalore. 6 winners will be awarded seed funding of minimum USD 100K and incubation facilities at Vizag Fintech festival on October 22 – 26, 2018.
“Paris is at the center of disruption in Europe and we should be working with European startups in a collaborative manner to ensure Indian Digital Transformation benefits from innovative global solutions”, said Mr JA Chowdary, Special Chief Secretary and IT Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The AP $1 Million startup challenge delegation included Mr JA Chowdary, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh andDharmendra Sunkara, CEO of AP FinTech Valley, Lakshmi Potluri, CEO of DCF Ventures and Ed Frank, Founder of Axis Innovations.

Judges included prominent members of the Parisstartup ecosystem as well as the corporate space– Herve Naudin, Partner at Orange Digital Ventures, Soline Kauffmann- Tourkestansky, Partnerhsip Director at Blisce, Riadh Shaiek, Partner at Demeter Partners to name a few.
The event included a paneldiscussion that focused onopportunities in Vizag for global startups and prominent panelists from the roundtable were Soline Kauffmann- Tourkestansky, Olivia Calvet-Soubiran, Vikas Talwar and JA Chowdary.
