New Delhi, August 04, 2017, NDTV and DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance organized Behtar India Solutions’ Conclave. This Conclave aimed at making children and youth aware of the three campaign pillars – Swachhta, Vatavaran and Swasthya- and urged them to act towards creating a Behtar India.
The day-long Conclave, held at a Modern School, Vasant Vihar in Delhi, brought together students and stakeholders from across the country for the Behtar India Agenda and Solutions. Mr. Devesh Sachdev, Director and CEO, Fusion Microfinance was invited as a guest to the Conclave and announced the contribution of 1000 dengue kits from Fusion Microfinance for the underprivileged children during the conclave.
Behtar India Campaign aims to work towards a better future for India. The core thought of the campaign is to mobilise students, ordinary citizens, corporates to join a nationwide movement that focuses on three main pillars of the campaign – Health, Hygiene and Environment. Developed as a path-breaking 360° campaign, Behtar India allows citizens, school children and corporates, to supplement each other’s efforts to drive awareness and initiate tangible progressive actions towards building a better India.
Behtar Swasthya campaign aims to raise funds to protect underprivileged children against Dengue. The second stage of the campaign focusses on Behtar Swachhta (Hygiene). In keeping the dream of a Swachh Bharat, this leg of the campaign will focus on clean-up drives across India to spread the message of cleanliness and raise awareness about health and hygiene. And last stage of the campaign is Behtar Vatavaran (Environment) expected to plant saplings for a greener future.
Mr Sachdev said,”We see the endeavour of Behtar India as an extension of our mission to make positive changes in the lives of millions of people at the bottom of pyramid. We at Fusion Microfinance have been contributing towards the national objective of financial inclusion and empowering rural women by providing financial services and imparting financial literacy. We have already touched around 1 million households since our inception in 2010. “
