Addressing to the people in an event ‘Reading Month Celebration’ in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that people should start giving a book in place of a bunch of flowers to greet.

In the country, Kerala had been an inspiration and Kerala state’s people deserve credit for highest literacy rate said PM.
In his speech, Narendra Modi also remembered PN Panicker as in 1945 he founded the Grandhasala Sangam network with 47 public libraries. Today the network has touched more than 6,000 libraries across the Kerala state.
