GST ‘war room’ set up for resolving problems 14 hours a day

Aiming to resolve problems and issues with GST implementation, the central government has created a dedicated ‘war room’. This war room has been set up in the finance ministry. It will be manned by tech-savvy youngsters who will help resolve problems and issues being faced by state and central government personnel during GST implementation. The GST war room will function every day from 8 AM to 10 PM and the focus would be on promptly responding to queries. The war room will have multiple phone lines and advanced computer systems to quickly process the complaints received.

Speaking about the creation of the war room, Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) chief Vanaja N Sarna sad, “The finance ministry has set up a GST feedback and action room specifically for government officials to approach it with any urgent queries related to problems of GST in any area.” The war room will act as a single-window system that can be used by government personnel to seek answers and solutions for all their problems and queries related to GST.
