Even as the controversy surrounding Bihar deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav is threatening the state government, Tejaswi found himself in yet another controversy after his bodyguards roughed up some media persons today. The incident happened outside the Bihar Secretariat in Patna and it seems to remind that gunda raj is back to haunt Bihar. Tejaswi was to address the media after a meeting called by chief minister Nitish Kumar to discuss the next steps in relation to the corruption cases lodged by the CBI against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members in the land-for-hotels scam. However, even before Tejaswi can begin speaking, his bodyguards roughed up some media persons present there.
It may be recalled that this is not the first time Tejaswi has had a fight with media persons. Earlier also, when a press conference was called last week at the residence of Lalu Prasad Yadav to speak about the CBI raids, Tejaswi had lashed out at a reporter who had asked a question. It may be recalled that Tejaswi has refused to accept his involvement and has called the cases filed as political vendetta. The video of his bodyguards manhandling media persons has gone viral. Tejaswi has also refused to step down as the deputy chief minister of Bihar.
