Haryana government to take over Ryan’s management; recommends CBI inquiry

After the death of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, the Haryana government has decided that it will take over the management of the Ryan International School in Gurgaon for a period of three months. The announcement was made today by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The chief minister also met the family of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur. Khattar said that he is in favor of a CBI inquiry since the matter and police investigations have attracted a lot of controversy. He said that the incident has shocked the nation and the culprit should be punished. It may be recalled that the case has remained mired in controversy since the beginning.

While police claimed to have solved the case by arresting school bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, parent organizations are not convinced that the police have caught the right person. According to police, Kumar has also confessed that it was he who had killed the seven-year old kid. A CCTV camera has recorded the last moments of the child, wherein he could be seen coming out of the bathroom and collapsing near to a wall. This is where the school gardener had discovered the kid’s body. One major flaw that was discovered was that outsiders were using the same toilet as students. After the incident, Ryan International has started updating its security apparatus at its various schools across the country.
