Health Spending would be 2.5% of the GDP – Government

In an announcement that was made yesterday, Union Health Minister Mr. J.P.Nadda has mentioned that the Health Policy 2017 has increased the spending to 2.5% of he GDP. Terming it as a “Milestone”, Mr Nadda said this would guarantee timely health care to all the Indian Citizens especially the underprivileged.

However it is interesting to note that USA spends 16.4% of its GDP on Health followed by Switzerland at 11.1% and Norway at 8.9%
