Hindus 2nd largest group in 12 nations

Hindus make up the second-largest group in 12 countries, including Pakistan; per an analysis published by Pew Research Center (PRC), “a nonpartisan fact tank” headquartered in Washington DC, on June 22.

Hindus are largest religious group in three countries, the analysis adds.

Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, congratulating the Hindu community for various achievements worldwide, urged them to continue with the traditional values of hard work, higher morals, stress on education, sanctity of marriage, etc., amidst so many distractions.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, advised Hindus to focus on inner search, stay pure, explore the vast wisdom of scriptures, make spirituality more attractive to youth and children, stay away from the greed, and always keep God in the life.

Per this PRC analysis, religiously unaffiliated people account for 16% of the world’s population, and they make up the largest “religious group” in seven countries and territories. They also are the second-largest group in roughly half of the world’s nations, ranking second in size in most of the Americas and Europe, as well as in many countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

Christians are largest group in 162 countries, Muslims in 50 countries and Buddhists in eight; according to this analysis.
