How Smoking Affects Your Heart Rate

We all know by now, how dangerous is smoking for our health. And not only it affects our health but also our family and friends. It brings along with it, a whole lot of risk of various dreaded diseases. Diseases that are many a time untreatable, and might even take away your life. Smoking is one the common risk factors in developing heart diseases. It increases the chances of heart attacks. According to a study published by Inter heart study in which research was conducted on 50,000 heart patients from 52 countries (one-third of the heart patients were from India) smoking is one the most common risk factor that develops heart diseases. The population which is at attributed risk of developing the heart disease is 36 percent or we can say the risk of developing the heart disease has increased by a factor of 4.55 times. It has been observed that smoking exists with some other risk factors. Therefore smoking increases the chances of angina, heart attack, and high blood pressure.
