How to be safe in summer

Heavy sweat, unexplainable thirst, sun tanning,irritated humidity, loss of hunger are some of the gifts from summer!

Inspite of stoles, sunglasses, AC, desert coolers and other ideas, we often get affected by hot waves of summer.

Symptoms of over heat :

1. Dehydration accompanied by vomiting and lose motions.

2. Loss of appetite.

3. Unexplainable fatigue.

4. Nauseatuc feeling.

5. Increased palpitations

These are signs of heat effects in the body in summer.

Prevention is better than cure…

Curative measures:

  • Have 3 to 5 liters of water or take 2 glasses of water after every one hour.

  • Take buttermilk at least four times in a day with added pinch of black salt, roasted cumin powder, mint leaves and black pepper powder.

  • Have seasonal fruits and vegetables like water melon, cucumber, musk melon, bottle guard and other watery vegetables and fruits.

  • Wear cotton only.

  • Instead of soda and cool drinks, satisfy your thirst by lemon water, thandai and Rooh afza. Stick to natural aam panna to avoid ill effects of summer waves.

  • Poppy seeds or khas khas has very cooling property. Use it abundantly in your veggies, thandai and other eateries.

  • Use of amla created magical effect on body and mind especially in summers. You can consume amla in many forms like murabba, powder, pickle or juice.

  • While going outside, always cover yourself with umbrella or with some white cotton cloth.

  • Sunscreens will protect your exposed skin from sun tans.
